What Valuationz does, how it handles client data, and what we confirm with you before you commit.
What is Valuationz?
Valuationz is an AI document intake platform for business valuation firms. Client tax returns, QuickBooks exports, Excel financial statements and cap tables are read, mapped to the firm's Excel model, and returned as a draft populated workbook for analyst review. The underlying technology is patent pending, and the platform is used in production by a national valuation firm.
How does AI document intake work for valuation firms?
Documents come in through a structured intake flow instead of scattered email attachments. The extraction step reads line items from the supported document types, maps them to the fields configured for the firm's workbook during onboarding, and produces a draft workbook. Values that cannot be reconciled against the source are left blank and flagged for review rather than filled in.
Which client financial packages are supported?
Forms 1120-S, 1120 and 1065, QuickBooks profit and loss and balance sheet exports, and Excel financial statements. For 409A engagements, cap table exports (Carta, Pulley or a spreadsheet), option and warrant ledgers, and the Articles or Certificate of Incorporation are read into the workbook's capitalization inputs. Clients can also file other supporting documents through intake — uploading a document does not mean every field in it is extracted.
Does Valuationz work with our firm's existing Excel model?
Firm-specific mapping is configured during onboarding, and model suitability is reviewed then. For supported and mapped templates, the existing workbook logic is preserved and values are written into the mapped cells. Model injection support today covers 409A workbooks: the income statement and balance sheet tabs, and the capitalization inputs — share classes and counts, original issue prices, liquidation preference, seniority, participation, and options and warrants grouped by strike price. Terms the documents do not state are flagged for the analyst rather than silently filled. Other model types are assessed case by case.
What happens when a value cannot be verified?
The field is left blank in the draft workbook and flagged so the analyst can see exactly what needs attention. An unverified value is never written in as if it were sourced.
Where is client financial data processed?
Document processing runs in our Microsoft Azure environment, with encryption in transit and at rest and secrets held in Azure Key Vault. Microsoft's platform certifications belong to Microsoft, not to Valuationz. SOC 2 Type I is planned; Valuationz does not hold a SOC 2 attestation today. The security page sets out the detail.
What kinds of valuation work does this suit?
Firms doing 409A work, business valuations, SBA lending valuations and litigation support all handle the same intake problem, and the intake and document organization side applies broadly. Model injection support today is focused on 409A workbooks, and we review your specific models during onboarding before you commit.
How long does setup take?
Setup depends on your workbook and workflow. We review your model and confirm the configuration and onboarding timeline during your demo.
Does Valuationz replace analysts?
No. It handles extraction and mapping. The draft workbook is a starting point that an analyst reviews, corrects and signs off. Professional conclusions and the opinion of value remain the analyst's.
How do firms get started, and is there a trial?
There is no self-serve free trial. Firms start with a 30-minute demo, where we walk through the workflow, look at the models and document types you actually use, and confirm what onboarding would involve. Published pricing starts at $249 per month.
